A committee to render Champhai into a ‘Clean, Beauty and Healthy’ town, today held meeting at DC’s Conference Hall, a first of its kind here at Champhai under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner of Champhai, Pu SL Naveen, IAS.

The Deputy Commissioner lauded the initiatives taken by honourable MLA to create Clean, Beauty and healthy Champhai. It’s just the beginning, transformation works has to be started from the very basic foundation, he added. He urged the members to spare their times and wisdom for the said project to bear a fruitful results.

The meeting while applauding the forefront role of Village Councils in achieving cleaned town decided to conduct cleanliness inspection at Village Council areas under Champhai Town, join inspection team to visit each VC area quaterly and identify the cleaness VC. The DUDO is assigned to prepare inspection checklists and members. The results to be submitted to DC and then forwarded to the respective MLA’s. A part from this, various proposals to implement Clean, Beauty and Healthy Champhai Town were discussed at length.

The Meeting was attended by Pu Mark Lalthanliana, Addl DC; Pu Lalnunfela Chawngthu, SDO Sadar; government officials, PA of Champhai North A/C MLA , NGO, VC, Media and NSS Officers, among others.
