12th July, 2022: Lawngtlai District Development Co-ordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Pu C. Lalrosanga at DC Conference Hall, Lawngtlai.

The meeting was attended by Chief Executive Member of the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) Pu V. Zirsanga, Member Secretary & Deputy Commissioner Lawngtlai District Pu Amol Srivastava, DRDA Project Director Pi Marilyn Rualzakhumthangi, officials of line departments and different banks and representatives of NGOs within Lawngtlai District.

The meeting reviewed implementation and progress of central schemes and programmes within Lawngtlai District during the year, 2022-23. Suggestions for further achievement and solutions for existing problems were also discussed.

Various schemes reviewed in the meeting were - Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) implemented by PWD; Indo-Bangla Border Flood Lighting (IBBFL) Scheme & utility shifting due to widening of National Highway under P&E Department; Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) & Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen (SBM-G) under PHED; Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) & Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban (SBM-U) under UD&PA; National Health Mission (NHM) under H&FW Department; National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) & Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) under Social Welfare Department; National Food Security Act (NFSA) under FCS&CA Department; Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) under Commerce & Industries Department; Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Grameen (PMAY-G) & Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) 2.0 under DRDA; Border Area Development Programme (BADP), Mizoram State Rural Livelihood Mission (MzSRLM) & Deen Dayal Upadhyaya - Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) implemented by BDOs; Samagra Shiksha and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
