Aizawl, 26.10.2023: In preparation for the upcoming General Election to Mizoram Legislative Assembly 2023, one of the Expenditure Observer for Aizawl District Shri Nayanjyothi Nath met with representatives of different bank within the district today at DC Conference Hall. The meeting was chaired by Smt. Nazuk Kumar, District Election Officer.

In this meeting, the Expenditure Observer reminded the bankers of their responsibility to constantly monitor accounts of of contesting candidates for any suspicious activity, and to continue submitting daily report to the DEO till date of poll. He also highlighted different activities which could be accounted as suspicious.

DEO also commented that while election related activities in Mizoram are quite streamlined in general, it is only when everyone approach their respective responsibility with sincerity that successful election can be accomplished.
