Lawngtlai, the 3rd May, 2021: A meeting of Lawngtlai District Task Force Immunisation (DTFI) on COVID-19 vaccination was held today at the DC's Conference Hall, Lawngtlai under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Dr Andrew H. Vanlaldika.

The meeting was attended by officials from district, administration, health department, police and representatives of CYLA and VLTFs.

Member Secretary, District Immunisation Officer Dr S. Thaizi gave a brief report on ongoing administration of 1st dose and 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccination. It was reported that COVID-19 vaccination for healthcare workers, frontline workers and persons above 60 years has already been carried out and vaccination of persons between 45 - 59 years is still going on.

As of now, COVID-19 vaccination (1st dose) has been administered to 10,586 persons in Lawngtlai District, out of which 2,255 has taken the 2nd dose, and the remaining 8,331 has not yet completed the 2nd dose. Out of 850 healthcare workers who got vaccinated with the 1st dose, 713 has got their 2nd dose. Of 1,258 1st dose takers among frontline workers, 619 has received the 2nd dose. Between 45 to 59 years of age, 5,066 took the 1st dose and 308 of them has received the 2nd dose. Above 60 years of age, out of 3,412 1st dose takers, 615 has got the 2nd dose.
