Meeting of Nodal Officers for General Election to MDC under LADC, 2020 held at Lawngtlai

Lawngtlai, the 28th October, 2020: A meeting of Nodal Officers for the upcoming General Election to Member of District Council (MDC) under the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) was held today at DC Conference Hall, Lawngtlai.

The meeting was chaired by District Election Officer Dr Andrew H. Vanlaldika who stressed on the importance of nodal officers for a free and fair election. The duties and responsibilities of each nodal officer and some other important points were highlighted and discussed.

Though the schedule for the General Election has not been declared by the State Election Commission yet, preparations for the same have been going on for a while. The draft electoral roll was already published on the 19th October, 2020 and the final electoral roll is scheduled to be published tomorrow, the 29th October, 2020.
