My dear people of Our Mizoram
CHIBAI, (ची बाई)
On the happy occasion of 75th Independence Day of our Great Nation, India, I warmly greet all my beloved people of Mizoram. On this auspicious day, let us remember, with gratitude, the supreme sacrifices made by countless Indians in the National struggle for our freedom. Today, we pay homage to them with utmost respect and reverence. As we live to the glory of the 75th YEAR of our Independence and celebrate the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsava”, we take pride in having emerged as the largest democracy of the world.
Following the pattern of the Movements led by Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhiji, our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji is now guiding our progress in the true spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas”. The Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s Mantra of ‘Sashakt Bharat, Samridh Bharat’ has carved out a global standing for our Country. Our Country, India, has etched a niche of pride in the developed Nation of the world.
The promotion of our maxim of “Unity in Diversity” has assumed great significance in the challenging times now. Today, the world is facing the onslaught of COVID-19 Pandemic and our Country has also been seriously affected by it in all fields. Our State, Mizoram too is facing serious health hazards by COVID-19 Pandemic.
But, under the great leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi jiand our Hon’ble Chief Minister Pu Zoramthanga ji (joramथga jI), we are fighting this Pandemic tooth and nail. Today, I place on record my deep appreciation to all COVID warriors, the Civil Administration, the Medical Establishments and all the Religious Institutions of our State Mizoram for putting in their best concerted efforts in our fight against COVID-19 Pandemic. I am certain, together we will emerge victorious.
Albert Einstein once said, “In the Middle of Difficulty Lies Opportunity”. In the same way, our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has utilized the adversity of this Pandemic to promote “Atma Nirbhar Bharat”. This call of self reliance is especially important for our State, Mizoram. We should use this challenge as an opportunity for innovation and growth.
I also take this opportunity to congratulate and compliment our Indian Sportspersons for their glorious performance in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics. My special commendation goes to our very own Ms. Lalremsiami (llremisyamI) of Mizoram, who was a ‘Live Wire’ Member of the Indian Women’s Hockey Team that reached the Semi Final in Tokyo Olympics.
Today, as we celebrate our 75th Independence Day, let us rededicate ourselves to the values and ideas that our freedom fighters fought for. Let us make an unflinching resolve for upholding the unity and integrity of our Nation.
I wish you all a very Happy Independence Day.
