Aizawl, the 9th April 2021: In connection with the state government's drive on the strengthening of the new functional three districts, Dr R.Lalthangliana, Minister, Health, C&I, etc., made one day trip to Saitual town, today. As soon as he arrived, he had inspected District Hospital and then proceed to inspect the Market building, Govt Saitual College, District and the site proposed for establishment of the KVI Office.

During his interactions with the district medical officials, Dr R.Lalthangliana announced that the state government has already worked out various proposals for strengthening the existing health facilities in Mizoram through Rs 28400 lakh funding from the World Bank project. This fund, he explained will be used in various projects to improve management capacity and quality of health services in the state. And that the rural area will be their main focus.

While addressing the officials at the District Hospital, Saitual District and Govt Saitual College, Health Minister Dr R.Lalthangliana gave a hint that the state shall have to make tougher Covid-19 guidelines as the second wave of Covid-19 cases is getting worse in other parts of India.

In this impending situation, he advised the general public not to get panic but to be ready for the new variants of the COVID-19 pandemic that is fast spreading across at least 18 states at this time. He once again, ask the public for cooperations in following safety guidelines, SOP, etc to be issued from time to time as this will boost our chances against the assault from this deadly virus

Pu C.Ramhluna, Vice Chairman, C&I Development Board and Pi Esther Lal Ruatkimi, Commissioner, H&TE were among top officials who accompanied the Minister in his tour programme, today. Pu VL Hruaizela Khiangte, DC, Saitual and the district officials were also present at the inspected sites.
