Aizawl, 7.9.2024: Chief Secretary Dr. Renu Sharma planted saplings in the CS residence premise today as part of the Ed Ped Maa Ke Naam Campaign.

The Hon'ble Prime Minister on the occasion of World Environment Day launched the campaign 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' to conserve the environment of our country, where he urged all the citizens to contribute in making our planet better, clean and free from pollution with planting a tree in the name of mother.

Accordingly, the campaign has been launched in Mizoram also and trees are being planted under various Forest Divisions. Today, the Chief Secretary, Govt. of Mizoram Dr. Renu Sharma and her mother Smt. Prema Rani also participated in this campaign and in planting saplings. The officials of EF&CC deptt. and I&PR deptt. were also present on this occasion.
