In the ambitious move of combating the ongoing drug menace in the state, Government of Mizoram sends out 30 workers selected from the various De-Addiction Centre in the state for 9 day intensive training at TTK Hospital, Chennai.

The newly formed ministry is determined and waste no time in taking various measures to eradicate the problems of drug abuse in the state. The state Government has already prepared detailed road map for strengthening the existing centres with the addition of new ones coming soon. And, this training programme is one among such measures in the pipeline. All the expenditure incurred for the training will be borne solely by the government  through the fund from Mizoram Social Defence & Rehabilitation Board (MSD&RB) under Social Welfare Department. After their completion the team is expected to return on February 13, 2019.
