Mizoram police Media Cell, PHQ, Aizawl made appeal to young Mizo workers seeking employment abroad especially in China and other foreign countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Macau etc. to do it through proper channel in order to avoid problems thereafter. Mizoram Police, in their appeal, stated that there has been various instances where residents of Mizoram (Indian Nationals) have been apprehended on charges of illegal entry, and on the basis of their inability to produce valid/required documents to ply trade/work. Some of these victims obtained fake Myanmarese passports illegally, which hinder the process of their deportation back to India even after legal formalities have been completed. Mizoram Police, therefore, fervently request and appeal to the public and those seeking employment in foreign countries to refrain from engaging in such illegal activities, and appealed to them to pursue employment in foreign countries through legal channels only.
