Mizoram State Election Commission decides to use Electronic Voting Machine for General Election to Aizawl Municipal Corporation, 2021

In exercise of the power conferred under Section 37 (i) of the Mizoram Municipalities Act, 2007 as amended, the State Election Commission, Mizoram, in consultation with the State Government of Mizoram, has decided to use Electronic Voting Machine for the conduct of General Election to Aizawl Municipal Corporation, 2021. The Rules - “Voting by Electronic Voting Machines” framed under Chapter - VI-A, from 53A to 53ZD of the Mizoram Municipalities (Election of Councilors) Rules, 2007 as amended, shall apply for use of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in the conduct of election to Aizawl Municipality.
