Aizawl the 25th October, 2021 : In the recently concluded Eastern India Zone Skills competition at Patna, Bihar from 20-22nd October 2021, 12 (twelve) participants from Mizoram have qualified to participate in the India Skills competition to be held in Bengaluru in December, 2021.Three among these successful participants, having no other competitors in their chosen trades, won by walkover.

The winners of the India Skills competition will go on to compete in the World Skills Competition to be held in Shanghai, China in October, 2022. A total of 245 youths from 8 (eight) States/Union Territories from the East and Northeast regions participated in the competition  including wild card/corporate entries. The event was organised by NSDC, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.
