Aizawl, the 6th October 2021 : A four-member Multi Disciplinary Covid-19 Study Team consisting of Dr. Vinita Gupta,Consultant Epidemiologist, NCDC, Delhi, Dr. Varun Singh, Epidemiologist, NCDC Delhi, Dr. LA Singh, Regional Director, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Imphal and Dr. RK Priyabata Singh, CMO (SAG) reached Aizawl yesterday.

The team held a meeting with the chief medical officers of Aizawl East and Aizawl West, State Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme officials as well as with other Health Department officials. The meeting led by Dr.Pachuau Lalmalsawma, State Nodal Officer, Covid-19 discussed key initiatives on Covid-19 response across the State, as well as present case load, status of infrastructure etc.

The team is scheduled to hold a Video Conference at 2pm today with Chief Medical Officers of all Districts across the State, and will then depart for Champhai District along the Indo Myanmar border tomorrow.
