Aizawl the 28th March, 2022 : MYC Chairman Dr Vanlaltanpuia, Lunglei North MLA laid the foundation stone for Mizoram Youth Commission Incubation Centre at Serkawn,Lunglei near Lena Stadium on Saturday (26th March, 2022). The land for the Incubation Centre was donated by Serkawn VC.

Lunglei High Powered Committee Vice Chairman Pu Lawmawma Tochhawng, Pu H. Lalnunzuala, Under Secretary MYC, Pu Lalrotluanga, President YMA Sub-Headquarters Lunglei and representatives from Serkawn locality and various NGOs were also present at the occasion.

On the occasion of this foundation stone laying ceremony, MYC Chairman Dr Vanlaltanpuia said this centre would cater to the needs of aspiring Mizo youths such as competitive coaching, Information Technology, skill development and entrepreneurship. He thanked the local leaders of Serkawn who donated the property to MYC, and promised them that the centre would be used for the betterment of society and the economy.

Talking about the MYC Coaching Centres in Lunglei, Siaha, Kolasib Districts and the one in Champhai which will be opened shortly, the MYC Chairman said that he along with the MYC team would continue working in earnest for the advancement of Mizo youths to the best of their capabilities. He stated that construction of MYC Youth Centres are underway at Aizawl,Serchhip and Lunglei. In addition to competitive exams, MYC is planning to continue to provide cement mistiri training, food processing training, cake baking training, cabin crew, Army Pre-Recruitment training and promotion of music and sports to help the youths reach their goals at the national level.

The MYC Chairman said that the MYC Super IAS 20 which was started in 2020 will be upgraded to Super IAS 40 which will comprise of 20 more aspirants. He further said that the road connecting Khawiva, Aizawl-Thenzawl-Lunglei road and roads in Lunglei town will be repaired and that the budget for the improvement works for MZU Southern Campus is raised to Rs.15 crore.

Lunglei High Powered Committee Vice Chairman Pu Lawmawma Tochhawng shared that although the staff of MYC are few in number, their contributions to the future of Mizo youths are commendable. He stated his appreciation for the Incubation Centre and urged the people to make the most out of this centre.

Pu Lalrotluanga, President YMA Sub-Headquarters Lunglei and Pu K. Zodinsanga, VCP Serkawn also gave a brief speech, Pu Lalmuanzuala, CC, MYC Lunglei ended the ceremony with vote of thanks speech.
