Aizawl, the 28^th April , 2025: Hon'ble Chairman National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, Government of India, Shri Antar Singh Arya, along with Commission members : Shri Nirupam Chakma, Dr. Asha Lakra  and Shri Jatothu Hussain, met with leaders of various NGOs of Mizoram  at the Conference Hall, Hotel Regency, Zarkawt, at 4:00 pm today.

The Commission explained the reason for convening today's meeting, saying that on April 30th, a State Level Review meeting will be held to assess whether the various schemes from the Central Government meant for the welfare and development of Scheduled Tribes in Mizoram are being implemented properly and utilized correctly within the state. Before the Review meeting, the Commission wanted to gather insights, opinions, and suggestions from various NGOs, which is why this meeting was convened. 

Today's meeting was attended by the Chairman and members of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, Government of India, along with their staff led by the Director. 

The National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, Government of India, will also visit Kamalanagar and Siaha tomorrow.
