 Aizawl based 46^th Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 23 Sector Assam Rifles and HQ Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), observed Farmers’ Day 2020 across all COBs/POB by holding Lecture cum Interactive Session for farmers of the border villages.

The event was conducted with the sole aim of making the farmers in border villages aware about various state and central government sponsored schemes meant for economic and social upliftment of the farmers and also make them aware about the modern techniques that can be used to enhance the productivity.

National Farmers' Day is an Annual Observance celebrated on 23 Dec in India and marks the birth anniversary of Choudhary Charan Singh, the fifth Prime Minister of India . This day commemorates the National Contribution of Farmers and Agriculturers and is a mark of honour to the Indian farmer.
