Aizawl the 17th January, 2024 : ER Trek conducted by 20 Mizoram Battalion NCC, at Tanhril, Aizawl from 10 Jan 24 concluded today. The Trek was attended by 309 NCC cadets of states of Rajasthan, Orrisa, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim and all the states of North East Region. The Trek promoted National Integration by encouraging interaction between cadets of different states, inculcate respect for local customs, traditions and cultures, develop self-confidence, spirit of adventure, exploration and inquisitiveness amongst the cadets. During the Trek, there were presentations and cultural programs about their respective states. It also developed love for nature, flora and fauna, promote tourism and make cadets understand the importance of conserving the bio-diversity of the country. During the cultural program, cadets of Hrangbana College and Pachhunga University College performed special Mizo cultural dances which was appreciated by all the cadets.

During the closing address, Brigadier Kapil Sood, Commander Silchar Group NCC appreciated all the cadets for successful completion of the TREK. The senior officer also visited Hrangbana College and Govt Mizo High School after the closing address.
