9th October, 2026: The Office of the District Election Officer, Hnahthial, hereby informs the public that, following the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls, a Special Drive is being undertaken in accordance with the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure that every eligible elector is included in the electoral roll and no eligible citizen is left out.

1. The Special Drive aims to identify and facilitate the enrolment of eligible citizens whose names appeared in the pre-SIR electoral roll but are not included in the current electoral roll, as well as new, young and first-time voters who have not yet enrolled.
2. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will undertake house-to-house visits to verify the present status of such electors and facilitate enrolment wherever they are found eligible. Eligible persons may apply for enrolment by submitting Form 6 in accordance with the prescribed procedure. BLOs will provide necessary assistance and guidance during their visits.
3. Booth Level Camps and awareness activities may also be organised to facilitate the submission of enrolment applications and to encourage eligible citizens, particularly young and first-time voters, to register in the electoral roll.
4. All eligible citizens are requested to cooperate with BLOs during house-to-house verification and provide the necessary information for electoral registration. Citizens who have not yet enrolled, or whose names appeared in the pre-SIR electoral roll but are absent from the current roll, may contact their respective BLOs or the concerned Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) for assistance.
5. The BLO Supervisor shall ensure that all activities related to the Special Drive are duly carried out by the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at their respective polling stations and shall closely monitor the progress of implementation

The Office of the District Election Officer, Hnahthial, solicits the cooperation of the public for the successful implementation of the Special Drive. The objective is to ensure that every eligible elector is added and no ineligible entry remains in the electoral roll.
