Kolasib dated 27th March 2021: Programme focusing on the improvement of Women and Child health, 'Poshan Pakhwada' was organized today at Kolasib under Directorate of AYUSH, National AYUSH Mission.

Dr.C.Vanlalhlimpuia, District Medical Officer (AYUSH) highlighted on the goals and objectives of POSHAN PAKHWADA and also had a presentation on the dietary and nutritional requirements of pregnant, breastfeeding mothers and girl child. He also demonstrated on how to obtain a balance ration through locally available vegetables to keep the body fit and healthy.

A free health check-up was also carried out with Dr. C. Vanlalhlimpuia, Dr. Ruth Vanlalmalsawmdawngkimi and Dr. F. Zothanmawia on duty. A total of 91 individuals attended the free health check-up, where medicines and nutritional supplements were distributed free of cost.
