A meeting reviewing the progress of the on-going Electoral roll revision in Kolasib district was conducted in the presence of Mr Lalthangpuia, Electoral Roll Observer today at DC Conference Hall, Kolasib. The meeting was chaired by Mr Vanlalchhuanawma Chawngthu, Election Officer and attended by representatives from different political parties, NGOs and members of the district level standing committee.

Mr Lalthangpuia, Electoral Roll Observer indicated that 15^th of January, 2020 is the last date the ECI fixed for the publication of the electoral roll, therefore, urged all members present to complete all necessary works within the stipulated time.

Mrs Sangchhin Chinzah, District Election Officer, Kolasib District emphasized on the importance of the role of all NGOs and party leader in the preparation of the electoral roll, mentioning that Electoral roll preparation is among the most important part of the foundation of democracy.
