Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) organized a one day Training on Question Setting Technique for High School & Higher Secondary School teachers, held at DC Conferrnce Hall, here at Siaha, Today.
In Today's Training programme, along with Questions setting technique, Scheme of Examination and Question Design and Integrated Evaluation Scheme (IES) Software Update version and Software Manual were also touched upon.
MBSE felt a need to introduce a paradigm Shift in our question setting technique from Content-based question to competency based questions. This is due to the fact that, inspite of our pass percentage keep improving year after year, our students were lagging far behind students of other parts of the country in All India Level Entrance or Competative Examination. MBSE is of the firm opinion ,after thorough research and studies, that key to improve our education quality to par with that of National level, lies in our question setting technique.
To introduce new question setting technique smoothly in HSLC &HSSLC from 2020,MBSE is gearing up from this changes and has been therefore, carrying out training drives and also distributing User Manual of upgraded IES software as well, to High School & Higher Secondary School teachers since past few months across the state.
Shri. Michael Lalrinmawia, Academic Officer MBSE and Shri. F. Ricky Lalremruatpuia, Regional Officer, MBSE, imparted today's training. The same Training had been conducted in Aizawl, Mamit, Kolasib, Champhai and Lunglei District and will continue till all the districts of Mizoram get covered completely.
