Aizawl the 19th May, 2021 : In view of the COVID-19 outbreak, Aizawl Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of 23 Sector Assam Rifles/Inspector General of Assam Rifles (East) organised an Online Audio-Video 'COVID Vaccination Awareness & Motivation Drive' at all COBs/POB today.

The aim of the drive was to create awareness in the local population about the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the preventive measures and importance and role of timely vaccination in controlling the spread of this dreadful COVID-19 Pandemic. The awareness drive was conducted by all COBs/POB and covered the remote areas of the Battalion AOR such as  Vill Mimbung Ngopa, New Vaikhawtlang , Kawlbem and  Hnahlan.

This comprehensive Audio-Visual awareness program on COVID-19 Vaccination was aimed at educating the villagers about  the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic and  various COVID-19 protocols and the importance of getting vaccinated against the COVID-19 Virus. The audio-visual clip also focused on removing apprehensions and doubts of the citizens with respect to the various vaccines available thereby putting an end to the fake news and propaganda.  

The awareness drive was massively subscribed by the villagers wherein more than 850 people shared the AV Clip in just 60 minutes.The efforts of Assam rifles was well received and adequately appreciated by the VCP and local populace who whole heartedly participated in the subject drive.
