Aizawl 14th October 2022: Once again, collaboration and synergy among different agencies have brought about another outstanding success in the WarOnDrugs, the biggest catch of Heroin in the recent history of the state. Acting on a specific input from a sister agency, early this morning, ChamphaiPolice operation party seized 500 soap cases of heroin, weighing 6.836 Kgs, valued at Rs 34.18 crores in international market, from one vehicle (Taxi), driven by Lalawmpuia (45) s/o Rinzuala of Vengsang, Champhai at New Champhai near Tuipui river. In this connection, the said driver has been arrested and case has been registered at Champhai PS for further investigation on forward/ backward linkages.
