The 3-day online training programme on Building Resilience of Health Facilities organized by the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Mizoram in partnership with the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), GeoHazards Society (GHS) and GeoHazards International (GHI) was concluded today. International and National resource persons including Dr. Janise Rodgers (GHI), R.C Sharma (Retd Director Delhi Fire Service), Dr. Lallu Joseph (VMC, Vellore), Ms. Satabdee Borah (GNRC Hospitals), Dr. Hari Kumar(GHI), Pranav Sethi (GHS) provided excellent inputs to cover all aspects of comprehensive hospital safety to the participants.The online training was attended by more than 230 participants each day.

Dr. C. Lalzepuii, Director of Health Services; Dr. KK.Chhetri, Director of Hospital and Medical Education; Dr. T.Lalhmangaihi, Principal Director of Health andFamily Welfare Department, exhorted the participants to take full advantage of the resource persons from GeoHazards and initiate preparedness in their own hospitals. The Health department also reiterated that disaster management related activities will be taken up in earnest in health facilities at all levels. Dr. Garima Aggarwal, and Mr. Shreyas Dwivedi of NIDM thanked the Government of Mizoram for taking this excellent initiative towards safety, and congratulated GeoHazards International and GeoHazards Society for putting together and excellent training program. On behalf of GeoHazards, Dr. Hari Kumar thanked Dr.Robert L.Khawlhring, SNO, DHME, Health & Family Welfare Dept and Ms. Lalrinpuii Tlau for the ground coordination to ensure excellent participation in this important training program.
