Aizawl, the 8th January 2023: On the agriculture sector under the ambitious initiative of Viksit Bharat 2047, a Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was held at Durtlang MC Hall this afternoon. In this program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a lively discussion with the selected farmers of Mizoram. The Agriculture Department, the Office of Deputy Commissioner, Aizawl District and the NIC, jointly hosted the event.

In his address to the farmers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed the importance of the Agriculture sector for achieving Viksit Bharat 2047. He also shared his vision with the farmers from whom there were enthusiastic responses. Like farmers across India, the farmers from Mizoram attended the event in large numbers.  During the interaction session,  Pu VL Hruaia Ralte, Durtlang North on behalf of the farmers in the state discussed the success and the prospect of Organic Farming in Mizoram with Prime Minister Modi.

The program commenced with Shri Girirraj Singh, Minister, of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj who welcomed the participants. After the video clip on 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' was displayed, the Prime Minister interacted with the farmers. At the end of the program, the Agriculture Department conducted the awareness program on  PM - Kissan.

Pu H. Lianzela, Secretary, Agriculture,  Pi Nazuk Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Aizawl, Pu Vanlalthlamuana, Director and other officials were also present.
