PROHIBITION ON VICTORY PROCESSION

Aizawl,1st November, 2021: The Office of the CEO Mizoram in its letter today has re-iterated the Election Commission of India Press Note dated 28.9.2021, carrying Instruction No.464/INST/EPS/2021 dated 27.4.2021-regarding prohibition of Victory Procession in all States/UTs having Bye-election, which directs as follows :

1. No Victory procession after the counting shall be permissible.
2. Not more than two persons shall be allowed to accompany the winning candidate, or his/her authorised representative, while receiving the certificate of election from the Returning Officer concerned.
