The Borders Roads Organization today organized a 2 day Free Medical and Blood Donation Camp at Government Middle School, Hnahthial in Lunglei District, Mizoram on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of Project Pushpak. The inaugural function was graced by Brigadier Virender Singh, Chief Engineer, Project Pushpak who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Sarika Jamwal, Zonal Chairperson BROWWA. 

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest Brigadier Virender Singh, Chief Engineer, Project Pushpak thanked the Civil Administration and the YMA for their unstinting support and cooperation in organizing the event. He highlighted  the various initiatives that have been undertaken by Project Pushpak in Mizoram for the past 50 years, and stated that more such infrastructure development projects are in the pipeline. He thanked all the participants who turned up in huge numbers at the Camp, an expressed his heartfelt wish that they would all benefit from the free medical camp. 

Shri. SK. Chaubey, Commander also thanked the YMA,  SDPO Hnathial and the people for their enthusiastic response to the Free Medical Camp. He stressed that apart from working on infrastructure development,  Project Pushpak is committed to contribute to the welfare and socio-economic development of the people of Mizoram. 

The Free Medical Camp offered free consultations led by Specialist Doctors in Medicine, Surgical, Gynaecologist, Pediatrician, Eye, ENT, Dental , with Urine Tests, Blood Tests, ECG and HIV Screening being conducted for free.  Huge gathering of patients from all ages of the community gathered to avail the benefits of the Camp with registration of more than 1500 people on the first day of the Camp. To make the Camp even more successful in the larger interest of patient care, free medicine is also being distributed.
