Aizawl, the 22nd March 2022: Pu Vanlalngaihsaka, a retired IAS officer, was sworn in as the new member of Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) at the swearing-in ceremony held at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Aizawl this forenoon.

The proceeding for oath-taking commenced with the reading of the appointment order from Pi Renu Sharma, Chief Secretary. After this, Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati administered the oath of office, oath of allegiance and oath of secrecy to Pu Vanlalngaihsaka at the ceremony. Chief Minister Pu Zoramthanga, Speaker Pu Lalrinliana Sailo, Home Minister Pu Lalchamliana and other dignitaries attended the swearing-in programme.

Pu Vanlalngaihsaka holds the degree of B.A. Pol.Sc. (Hons). He joined the Mizoram Civil Service in 1991 and was then promoted to IAS in 2015 (allotted 2007). He is a highly experienced officer holding several key posts under the Government of Mizoram. He is one of the few, to have served as a Deputy Commissioner four times across three districts. Prior to this appointment, Pu Vanlalngaihsaka was Secretary to the Government of Mizoram for Home and DM& R Departments. He retired voluntarily on 11th March 2022.
