Lunglei the 31st October, 2022 – Lunglei District today joined the rest of the country by organizing Unity Run in honor of Rastriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day).

Participants from BSF, Mizoram Police, Assam Rifles, NSS, NYK volunteers and college & Higher Secondary school students took the pledge of the Rastriya Ekta Diwas before they were flagged off from the DC Office courtyard by Lunglei DC Pu Kulothungan A.

Rastriya Ekta Diwas Pledge:

I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserving the unity, integrity, and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the spirit of the unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure the internal security of my country.
