Lawngtlai, the 25th June, 2021: A review meeting of results of high schools and higher secondary schools within Lawngtlai District in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examinations for the past three years was held today at DC's Conference Hall, Lawngtlai under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Chairman of District Education Committee Dr Andrew H. Vanlaldika.

The meeting was attended by officials from District Education Department, principals/headmasters and teachers of various high schools and higher secondary schools within Lawngtlai town, and representatives of Lai Students' Association (LSA), Central Young Lai Association (CYLA) and Lai Women's Association (LWA). Besides reviewing the examination results, various problems faced by students and schools were also addressed in the meeting and suggestions for improvement of examination results and education in the District were also discussed.

Pass percentage of students within Lawngtlai District in the HSLC was - 49% in 2019, 50.50% in 2020 and 65.07% in 2021. Pass percentage of students within Lawngtlai District in the HSSLC was - 42.10% in 2019, 54.90% in 2020 and 68.90% in 2021.
