Aizawl, the 19th March 2020 : School Education Minister Pu Lalchhandama Ralte today laid the foundation stone for construction of a new building for Mizoram Board of School Education just adjacent to the present MBSE Office at Chaltlang. The new building will be integrated with the present office premises, which will also be retrofitted and renovated as a part of the project.

Speaking on the occasion, Pu Lalchhandama Ralte said that MBSE has an important responsibility towards maintaining the quality of education and certification of students through examinations. As an academic authority in the state, MBSE is a pivotal institution that sets academic standards, he added. He called upon the MBSE officials to strive for excellence in education and certifications and prepare students to meet the challenges of today’s educational world.

The new building will be an 8 storied building and will be integrated with the present MBSE building which will also be retrofitted and renovated as a part of the project costing Rs. 8.33 crores.
