11th November, 2025 : WHEREAS, the term of the existing 11^th Lai Autonomous District Council is due to expire on 18^th December, 2025 as provided under sub-para (6A) of Para 2 of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution of India read with sub-rule (1) & (2) of Rule 8 of the Lai Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business etc.) Rules, 2010 as amended.

AND WHEREAS, under the provision of sub-rule (2) of Rule 142 of the Lai Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business etc.) Rules, 2010 as amended, a General Election has to be held for the purpose of constituting a new District Council for Lai Autonomous District Council.

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (2) of Rule 142 of the Lai Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business etc.) Rules, 2010 as amended, the Governor of Mizoram is pleased to call upon every Constituency in the said Lai Autonomous District to elect Members to the said District Council in accordance with the said Rules. The Election shall be conducted by the State Election Commission, Mizoram as provided under sub-rule (3) of Rule 142 of the Lai Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business etc.) Rules, 2010 as amended.
