SEC NOTIFIES EXTENSION OF MCC PROVISION FOR VC BYE-ELECTION UNDER MADC

Aizawl the 7th April, 2026: In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-rule (1) of Rule 3 of The Mara Autonomous District Council (Election to Village Councils) Rules, 2014, the State Election Commission, Mizoram has notified that the Model Code of Conduct for Political Parties, Candidates and Persons holding public offices has come into force w.e.f. 6th April, 2026 within the areas of the concerned villages under Mara Autonomous District Council wherein Bye-Election to Village Councils is to be held on 30th April, 2026 and the same shall remain in effect till announcement of Results.
