Lawngtlai, 15 November 2025: In preparation for the upcoming 12th Member of District Council (MDC) Election to the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) 2025, Sector Officers and Police Sector Officers attended a training session today at the DC Conference Hall.

District Election Officer (DEO), Shri  Donny Lalruatsanga, delivered the opening remarks and expressed his gratitude to the participants. He urged the officers to perform their duties with commitment and discipline to ensure a smooth and efficient conduct of the election. He stressed the importance of proper coordination within their respective sectors, strict adherence to rules and guidelines, and ensuring free and fair voting.

Highlighting the high number of polling stations in Lawngtlai District, the DEO reminded that public participation in the election is a key expression of democratic values and encouraged officers to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity. He also assured full support from the district administration for the successful conduct of the polls.

Election Officer (EO), Shri  Collin Hlychho, called upon the Sector Officers to extend their best efforts in providing field-level support during the election. He emphasised the need for thorough preparedness to ensure the polling process proceeds without disruption.

The training was conducted by Dr. Saithantluangi Zote (ARO) and Shri Lalnunpuia Renthlei (Nodal Officer). The session covered sector responsibilities, dos and don’ts, handling of challenges, and steps to address any issues that may arise on polling day. A question–answer session was also held.

All Sector Officers and Police Sector Officers attended the training programme.
