Aizawl 23rd August 2022: With a ban on transportation of illegal Areca nuts in the State, another huge consignment of smuggled Areca nuts was intercepted in less than 48 hours, from two trucks on the road of Saichal Village by the team of Saitual Police last night. 110 bags of areca nut were seized from the possession of the truck drivers namely Lalchhuanawma(24) s/o Lalmuana of Champhai, Zotlang and Ramdinthara(34) s/o Hrangzuala of Champhai, Zotlang. Further legal action is being taken. We need the constant public support to stop all kinds of illegal activities.
