AIZAWL, October 17, 2023 – In preparation for the upcoming Mizoram Legislative Assembly election, a sensitization session was held today for state Police officers. The session, which took place at 3:00 PM in the DGP Conference Hall at the Police Headquarters in Aizawl, focused on security arrangements for SPG/ASL protectees and other highly protected persons visiting Mizoram for election campaigns.

The session was facilitated by esteemed speakers, including Shri Balbir Singh, Joint Director (Consultant), IB, Shri Navneet Kumar Mehta, DIG, SPG, and Shri Desh Raj Bhatao, Assistant Director, IB. Their knowledge and experience provided valuable insights into ensuring the safety and security of prominent individuals during the election period.

The event was attended by a distinguished audience, including all Inspector Generals of Police (IGPs), all Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs), AIG (Ops), SP Security, SP Aizawl, SP Traffic, SP CID(SB), Addl. SP Aizawl, SDPO – Aizawl North, SDPO Aizawl South. Additionally, DIG(SR) and 10 District Superintendents of Police (SsP) from outside Aizawl joined the meeting in online mode, demonstrating the commitment of law enforcement officials from across the state.

The sensitization session served as a platform for the exchange of ideas and best practices, fostering a collaborative approach in ensuring the smooth conduct of the upcoming General Election. The Mizoram Police Department is fully dedicated to providing a secure environment for all participants and visitors during this critical period.
