Lunglei District hosted a Sensitization Workshop on Sustainable Development Goals for District Line Departments yesterday at the DC Conference Hall. The Workshop was attended by officials of the Line Departments. 

Inaugurating the workshop, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Lunglei District Pu R. Vanrengpuia stressed on the need for Government Departments to plan for development that meets the need of the present without compromising the future.  He also reminded the officials to work in proper coordination so as to realize their common goals of development and upliftment of the masses.

Introducing the Sustainable Development Goals to the attendees, Pu Lalchhuanawma Hrahsel, Chief Consultant, SDG Mizoram underlined the importance of the line departments in implementing the same at the grassroots level. He also explained the National, State and District Indicator Frameworks to the attendees.

Pu C. Lalnunmawia, Consultant, SDG gave presentations on Concept and overview of SDG in Mizoram and localization of SDG leh SDGs Indicator: National, State Indicator and District Indicators & Way Forward.
