Dated Serchhip, the 16th November, 2021: A District Draft Roll for the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll, 2021 is published today at Serchhip DC Meeting Hall by Mr Kumar Abhishek, DEO, Serchhip.

In this moment of publishing function, Mr Kumar Abhishek highlight the status of Draft Roll, 2021 and also said that a two new Polling Stations are already curved out within New Serchhip Area which are 23/26 New Serchhip I and 26/26 New Serchhip VI. Two new BLOs Mr Peter Lalnunmawia and Mr R. Vanlalhuma respectively were also already appointed for the two Polling statios. In this event Mr Kumar Abhishek invite all the parties, NGOs, Media person and village leader their coordination for obtaining a reliable Electoral Roll. 

Details of Draft Roll status is given by Mrs C. Lalduhzuali, SDO Sadar, there are three MLA consituensies Serchhip AC, Tuikum AC and Hrangturzo AC within the district and the total voters is 50573 among which 24697 are male voters and the other 25876 are the female voters. Besides there are 397 Service Voters comprise of 395 male voters and 2 female voters.

The time schedule for the special summary revision is; period of filling claims & objections is from 16.11.2020 (today) to 15.12.2020. Disposal of those fillings shall be done on 10.01.2021, obtaining permission of ECI shall be done by 14.01.2021 and Final Publication shall be done on 20.01.21.
