Shri Lalramthanga Tochhawng, a 1986 batch IA&AS officer, recently retired from the post of Additional Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General was sworn in as the new Chairman, Mizoram Public Service Commission(MPSC) at the Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, today.

The Oath Of Office, Oath of Office and Oath of allegiance were administered by Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai with the official proceeding executed by Shri Lalnunmawia Chuaungo, Chief Secretary. Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga, his cabinet colleagues, Legislators, Senior Officials and Special Invitees attended the Swearing-in Ceremony.

Shri Lalramthanga Tochhawng is a highly experienced bureaucrat who has also been posted outside the postings of Audits & Accounts Services. He had been posted as Director, Secretary, Commissioner & Secretary for key departments in Mizoram. When the Accountant General Office was inaugurated in Mizoram he was appointed as the first Accountant General and went on to be promoted to the first Principal Accountant General, Mizoram. He also held the distinction of being the first Principal Accountant General of Telegana State when the said state was created in 2015.
