The Deputy Commissioner of Siaha,Pu Bhupesh Chaudhary IAS, flagged-off a newly acquired Mobile Medical Unit to her first assignment. Mobile

Medical Unit comprising 2 doctors, 2 Nurses and driver with customized Mobile Medical  Van will go to Zero Village for one-day free medical camp.

In a brief flagging-off programme held at DC conference Hall,  Pu Bhupesh Chaudhary profusely thanked GAIL(Gas Authority of India Limited) and Wockhardt Foundation for their exceptional benovelence shown to Siaha District. Even though Siaha District didn't fall under their Area of Operation, they were still considerated enough to dole out a fairly large amount ( ?35 lacs for MM Van & ?20 lacs for 12 Smart Classrooms) from their CSR fund to improve our pathetic  Education and Health condition.

Pu Bhupesh also thanked CMO,DMS of Siaha and his Subordinate Officers at DC office, for their unflinching supports and cooperation in his CSR endeavours. Pu Bhupesh hoped  that   Medical Mobile Unit,   which is practically PHC(Primary Health Centre) on the wheel, will not only improve Health scenerio of the Rural area , but also save many lives in the days to come.

He also happily informed the gathering public that "many more giant PSU's  have responded positively to his  plea of CSR fund; and if words turned into reality, more than   ?400 lacs is in the pipe line for Siaha District" he added.

Speaking at the occassion, Pu Gulzarilal Biswas,Area Manager,Wockhardt, who had come all the way from Orissa to handover the MM Van, expressed his happiness over witnessing this historic  occasion of Siaha district. He said that this MM Van is  customised to meet the basic health necessity of the Rural areas and equipped with oxygen, Emergency kits, test kits for Malaria, Haemeglobin, typhoid etc...with medicines. To top it all, it came with medical unit, comprising Doctor, nurses and  driver.  "Siaha district is the first and only district from the whole North Eartern region to get MMU from GAIL in partner with Wockhardt.  Of the many undertakings by wockhardt, MMU is one of them, and out of targeted 1000 MMU, so far 230 MMU have  been given out under GAIL's CSR fund. The major chunk of credit, of this beautiful tryst with Corporate Bussiness House and the public must go to your dynamic Deputy Commissioner, Mr.Bhupesh Chaudhary" he added.

Today's Flagging off programme was presided over by Pu H.Zonunmawia, Election Officer. Pu Bhupesh and Pu Biswas delivered speeches, and Dr.Lalrosanga,DMS concluded the programme with a proposal of vote of thanks.

Brief flagging off programme was followed suit by actual flagging-off of the MMU by DC at the courtyard of DC conference Hall.
