Dated Khawzawl, the 7th September, 2026: In accordance with the direction of the Election Commission of India, the Final Electoral Roll for the 22-Tuichang (ST) Assembly Constituency under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 was released today at the DC Conference Hall, Khawzawl, by District Election Officer (DEO) Pu K. Vanlalthiana.

DEO Pu K. Vanlalthiana expressed his gratitude to all the officials and staff involved in successfully carrying out the SIR in Khawzawl District, including EROs/AEROs, EOs, BLOs, political parties and NGOs. He also thanked the community leaders for their valuable cooperation during the hearings. He stated that the officials carried out the hearings and document verification processes carefully and diligently to ensure that only genuine Indian citizens were included in the Electoral Roll.

Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) Pu Chandrakant Bagoria also expressed his appreciation to all those who worked towards the successful preparation and release of the accurate SIR 2026 Final Electoral Roll. Election Officer Pu Timothy R. Lalhmangaiha presented a detailed report on the Final Electoral Roll.

The Final Electoral Roll for the 22-Tuichang AC contains 17,527 voters, comprising 8,688 males and 8,839 females. Compared with the Draft Electoral Roll, the total number of voters has decreased by 20.

A total of 2,185 persons were called for hearings, of whom 250 were excluded from the Final Electoral Roll. There were 343 newly enrolled voters through Form 6. In addition, 48 voters were transferred into the constituency from other ACs through Form 8, while 152 voters were deleted from the Roll after shifting to other Assembly Constituencies.

The Final Electoral Roll can be accessed through the ERO/AERO/BLOs and on the District Election Office, Khawzawl website.Officials and representatives present on the occasion included the EO, ERO, AERO, DEO, SDPO, DIPRO, representatives of the MJA and political parties, as well as representatives of Sub-HQ YMA, MHIP and MUP.
