Social Welfare Minister Dr. K. Beichhua today distributed appliances, implements and machines to 120 selected entrepreneurs of Reiek RD Block at Reiek Community Hall. The programme is being implemented by an NGO – Mission Foundation Movement with funding from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

Speaking at the distribution function of support equipment to existing entrepreneurs, the Minister commended MFM’s task of hand holding existing entrepreneurs and training of new entrepreneurs is a noble venture, which can generate livelihood means and help in generation of self employment, he added. He mentioned that entrepreneurship development is a priority area for the government and interventions are being made at various levels to augment and strengthen it.

At today’s programme various support equipment in 8 livelihoods trades to 120 selected existing entrepreneurs in 21 villages within Reiek RD Block were distributed. In the second phase, 180 selected fresh entrepreneurs will be supported and equipment will be handed to them.
