AIZAWL, 7^th September, 2026: As directed by the Election Commission of India, the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Photo Electoral Rolls, 2026 was conducted throughout Mizoram from May 20, 2026 to September 7, 2026. The Draft Electoral Rolls were published on July 4, 2026.

The Final Electoral Rolls of Aizawl District were published today at 2:00 PM at the DC Pisapui Hall, for public inspection, by Er. Lalhriatpuia, District Election Officer (DEO), Aizawl District. One hard copy of the Final Electoral Roll was also handed over to representatives of each recognized political party.

Speaking on the occasion, Er. Lalhriatpuia, DEO and Deputy Commissioner of Aizawl District, expressed his gratitude to the EROs, AEROs, BLOs, ABLOs, BLO Supervisors, Local Councils, Village Councils, Political Parties, NGOs, various voluntary organizations, the media, and churches that supported the SIR 2026 officials, for their careful and dedicated efforts in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the Special Intensive Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls, 2026 in Aizawl District.

Status of SIR 2026 in Aizawl District

1.     Number of Assembly Constituencies: 12

2.     Number of Electoral Registration Officers (EROs): 12

3.     Number of Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs): 12

4.     Number of Booth Level Officers (BLOs): 359

5.     Number of Assistant/Additional Booth Level Officers (ABLOs): 259

6.     Number of BLO Supervisors: 36

7.     Electors in the Draft Electoral Rolls: 2,72,366

8.     Electors deleted from the Draft Electoral Rolls after issuing notices and conducting hearings: 5,844
(2.15% of the total electors in the Draft Electoral Rolls)

9.     Forms received during the Claims and Objections period:

o   Form-6: 10,895

o   Form-7: 6,113

o   Form-8: 11,390

10.  New electors added to the Aizawl District Electoral Rolls through Form-6 and Form-8 during the Claims and Objections period: 17,705

11.  Electors deleted through Form-7: 11,957

12.  Total electors in the Final Electoral Rolls of Aizawl District: 2,78,114

• Male: 1,28,539
• Female: 1,49,575
• Female electors exceed male electors by: 21,036

13. Net increase in electors between the Draft and Final Electoral Rolls: 5,748 (2.11%)
14. Among the 12 Assembly Constituencies in Aizawl District, the highest increase in electors was recorded in 10-Aizawl North-I (ST) AC, with an increase of 1,394 electors, representing a 5.47% increase.

There are two Assembly Constituencies where the number of electors decreased compared with the Draft Electoral Rolls. The highest decrease was recorded in 14-Aizawl East-II (ST) AC, where the number of electors decreased by 84, representing a 0.47% decrease.

15. The Polling Station with the lowest number of voters in Aizawl District is 7/29-Chhanchhuahna Polling Station, with 73 voters, while the Polling Station with the highest number of voters is 10/17-Bawngkawn-V Polling Station, with 1,234 voters.
16. The detailed constituency-wise status of electors in the Final Photo Electoral Rolls, 2026, covering all 12 Assembly Constituencies of Aizawl District, is given in Annexure-I below.
17. 100% EPIC coverage is targeted in Aizawl District. At present, the EPIC printing tools are not yet available for use. Once the Election Commission of India makes them available, New EPICs will be issued to all newly enrolled electors included in the Electoral Rolls.
18. There are 1,346 Service Voters in the 12 Assembly Constituencies falling under Aizawl District.
19. As per the arrangement made by the Election Commission of India, anyone wishing to purchase the Final Electoral Rolls may obtain:

• Soft copy (without photographs): ₹100/-
• Hard copy: ₹5/- per page

Those wishing to purchase the hard copy must inform the concerned authority in advance. Individual pages cannot be purchased separately.
