Dated 4th October, 2024: In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 34 of the Sinlung Hills Council Act, 2018 as amended read with sub-rule (1) of Rule 3 of the Mizoram (Election to Sinling Hills Council) Rules, 2019, the State Election Commission, Mizoram hereby notifies that the Model Code of Conduct for Political Parties, Candidates and Persons holding public offices shall come into force with immediate effect within Sinlung Hills Council area where General Election is to be held and shall remain in effect till completion of the Election process.
