Aizawl, the 17th August 2023: The Government of India has devised the Meri Maati Mera Desh Campaign (MMMD)which is the grand finale programme for the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav(AKAM) which has been observed nationwide since 12th March 2021 to commemorate 75 years of India's Independence; and the campaign is to be observed all over India, at every urban and village level. A State Level Program shall be held during at 2:00PM on 25th August, 2023 and the following actions shall be implemented:

1. Dedication of Silaphalakam: Erection of Memorial Stone for Veers. Deputy Commissioner, Aizawl shall take care of erection of 2 (two) nos memorial stones in the name of Aizawl District and the State of Mizoram respectively. A suitable place may be identified at MINECO premises by General Administration Department. Unveiling of the plaques shall be done on the State Level Program.

2. Vasudha Vandhan: Plantation of 75 nos of saplings of indigenous species shall be launched on this day and EF&CC Department shall complete the process. A suitable place at MINECO premises may be identified by General Administration Department.

3. Veeron Ka Vandhan: Felicitation of living/retired freedom fighters defense, CAPF, State Police personnel and honouring deceased personnel from defense, CAPF & State Police who died in the line of duty with their families. This may also be done with two representatives of the veers to be felicitated/honoured on the State Level Program. Continuation shall be in the hands of the Home Department.

4. Paanch Pran Pledge Hoisting of National Flag and singing of Rashtragaan (National Anthem): Administration of Pledge + Taking Selfie to be uploaded in campaign website. This shall be held at the front yard of New Secretariat Complex, Mineco Building 1.

All Heads of Administrative Departments, Govt of Mizoram, All Heads of Department, Deputy Commissioner, Aizawl District; BDO, Tlangnuam RD Block and representatives of NYK/ NSS/NCC /CYMA /MHIP/ MUP/ MZP/MJA /MSU/ City Local Council Association, Aizawl may attend the State Level Program. Program is appended.
