A State Level Committee on Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) Meeting was held today at the Chief Minister's Office Cabinet Room. The meeting was chaired by Pu Lal Thanhawla, the Chief Minister of Mizoram.

The meeting reviewed progress made under the JNNURM in detail. Powerpoint presentation on progress made under the Urban Infrastructure Development Programme, review on progress made on Urban Infrastructure Governance (UIG), Basic Services to the Urban Poor (BSUP), Urban Infrastructure Development for Small and Medium Town (UIDSSMT) and Integrated Housing Scheme & Development Project (IHSDP) were also discussed.

Steering Committee has been set up in all the States with the Chief Minister as Chairman and Urban Development Minister as Vice-Chairman, along with a number of appointed members.
