Champhai, dated 17th September 2025: Various government officials of Champhai District gathered at the DC Conference Hall, Keifangtlang under the chairmanship of Champhai Deputy Commissioner Mr. Mohammad Aaquib to launch the cleanliness awareness programme Swachata Hi Seva 2025 and discuss the layout for its implementation. The officials also took the campaign pledge, vowing to commit to cleanliness and environmental protection.

Swachata Hi Seva is celebrated every year, and this year's campaign will allow more people than ever to join. The aim of this campaign is to teach citizens the importance of cleanliness and to inculcate a sense of responsibility to their surroundings, both private and public. Mass cleanliness drives will be held by different organizations and citizens will be urged to keep their homes and environment clean.

Swachata Hi Seva will start today i.e 17th September and will last till 2nd October. Responsibilities and duties were distributed among various departments, VC's and NGO's for taking up cleanliness drives and cleanliness awareness drives. The committee also discussed the possibility of free health check-up for sanitary workers by the Health Department.
