Prisoners' Welfare Committee, District Jail, Lunglei organized a celebration of the Thalfavang Kut 2019 yesterday at the Lunglei District Jail with the Lunglei Deputy Commissioner Pi K.Lalrinzuali as the Chief Guest. Lunglei Additional DC Pu David Liansanglura Pachuau, SDC Pu Lalthakima Chhangte, other officials and invitees were also in attendance.

Lauding the Prisoners' Welfare Committee for organizing the celebration, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged the inmates to look upon their time in prison as a chance to reform themselves and learn from their past mistakes. She also handed over Table Tennis Board and Bat set, Draft Board, chess Board, carrom Board, Volley Ball and Net to be used by the inmates.
