The government of Mizoram urges its employees to promote traditional attires during the Chapchar Kut Festive period

Aizawl, the 21st February 2023: As reproduced below, the Government of Mizoram by GAD notification requested all the state government employees and various Public Sector Undertakings, Boards, Bodies, and Agencies under the State Government to be involved with a positive spirit in the promotion of traditional attires by wearing of them during the Chapchar Kut Festive period.

'Chapchar Kut, 2024' is to be celebrated throughout the State on 1stMarch 2024 (Friday). As this festival promotes the cultural values and traditions of Mizo, all employees under the Government of Mizoram and various Public Sector Undertakings, Boards, Bodies, and Agencies under the State Government are requested to wear the Mizo Traditional Dresses to offices from 26^thFebruary — 29^thFebruary 2024.

All Administrative Heads and Heads of Departments are requested to bring this to the notice of all officials and employees under their respective departments.
