THINGTHELH VILLAGE AWARDED BEST VILLAGE IN FIRE PREVENTION FOR 2021 WITHIN KOLASIB DISTRICT

Kolasib dated 1st June 2021: Meeting of the District Fire Prevention Commitee, Kolasib district was held yesterday at DC Conference Hall, scrutinizing reports submitted from all villages VC, YMA, Forest department officials and respective BDO in which Thingthelh Village was awarded the best village for their contribution towards the prevention of forest and domestic fire outbreak.

The award carries a citation and cash prize of Rs.50,000. Khamrang village secured second position and N.Chhimluang Village sits at third position.

According to reports submitted by Kolasib DFO Mrs. N.Viji, IFS, there was 361 fire incidents report covering a total area of 323.71 Hectare.
